BreadMan: The Path of Resistance
Overview
BreadMan: The Path of Resistance started as a personal learning project focused on exploring game design, visual storytelling, and interactive experiences.
What initially began as an experimental internal project eventually evolved into a playable browser game launched on CircuitBread, later expanding into seasonal events, tournaments, and community engagement campaigns.
I was responsible for the game’s visual direction, UI, branding assets, event graphics, and character design evolution throughout multiple versions of the project.
Project Goals
The project was created as an opportunity to explore game design systems and interactive UI while building a fun and engaging experience for the CircuitBread community.
As the game evolved, the goal expanded into creating:
A recognizable visual identity
Playful and readable game UI
Community event visuals
Seasonal marketing assets
A more polished and scalable game experience

Character & Visual Identity
BreadMan originally started as a hand-drawn character concept which later evolved into a fully developed in-game visual identity.
The art direction focused on creating a playful and recognizable character system that worked well across gameplay, UI elements, event graphics, and promotional materials.
Game UI & Experience
The interface evolved through multiple iterations to improve gameplay clarity, menu readability, and overall visual consistency across the experience.
Version 3 introduced more polished UI systems, updated menus, gameplay overlays, and improved asset consistency throughout the game.
The UI focused on:
Clear gameplay visibility
Lightweight HUD design
Retro-inspired interface elements
Consistent visual hierarchy
Readable gameplay feedback
Seasonal Events & Community Campaigns
As the game gained traction internally, seasonal events and community tournaments were introduced to encourage engagement and participation.
One of the featured campaigns included a Pumpkin Pi Holiday Event alongside community tournaments with Amazon gift card rewards.
The event visuals expanded the game identity into promotional campaigns and community-driven content.
